Hi Geoff,

No,I don`t think so.

On the dutch forum there are a few people with the same pain in there stomach, and it disappeared when they take the lipon with their meals.

I have the hope that it works for your also this way.

By the way, alpha lipioc acid is not a amino acid.

Alpha-lipioc Acid this prevents healthy cells from becoming damaged. It helps the body recycle vitamins C and E and is soluble in both fat and water. The main source is dietary, spinach, liver and Brewer’s Yeast. It assists B vitamins in producing energy from proteins, carbohydrates and fats. It may help to treat nerve damage and preserve brain function in the aging. It protects the liver in cases of hepatitis and other liver diseases. It assists the liver in flushing toxins from the body and can help combat Chronic Fatigue Syndrome.

Corrij

Corrij and Willy,

I discovered the stomach pain to be from the aspirin regimin my cardiologist had put me on. The supplements/amino acids were not the cause! As soon as I stopped the aspirin, the pain disappeared.

I saw the cardiologist this week for an echo. I got the results yesterday. My ejection fraction is between 45-50, and there is no left ventricle dilation. My original echo showed an ejection fraction of 40 with left ventricle dilation. So, I am definitely seeing progress, due to the protocol you have recommended. Thanks for your help.

I was a little discouraged, since he also said I have moderate aortic valve regurgitation, and wants to do a angiogram next month to determine why this is occurring.

My fitness level seems strong, and I still have no symptoms from any of these conditons.

I wanted to share my progress with the forum, since I attribute any gains received to the wonderful Willy and Corrij.

Thanks,

Geoff

Excellent Geoff you are on the right track.

What is your cardiologist saying about these improvements?

-------------------

Regurgitation (circulation)

Regurgitation is blood flow in the opposite direction from normal, as the backward flowing of blood into the heart or between heart chambers.

Willy,

The cardiologist attributes the improvements to the medications he has prescribed: Coreg and Cozaar as well as abstaining from alcohol for 8 months. He did not believe this supplement protocol would be helpful. Of course, I KNOW otherwise. Thanks for your reply and assistance.

Update

Willie and Corrij,

I am doing well. I have a very strong fitness level, and continue on the protocol. I have seen another cardiologist who has kept me on Correg and Cozaar. He has given me NO limitations to physical activity, and was less concerned about the cardiomyopathy than the previous doctor. He felt that it may have been a temporary or transient condition. In fact, my first doctor gave me a nuclear stress test 12 months ago, and it showed a 61 EJF. That doc told me not to believe that number, and to believe the 45-50 shown from the echo in May of this year. It has been confusing, however, the aortic regurgitation is what he is monitoring now for change. I have still continued your protocol, is this what you recommend based on this latest information?

Hello Geoff,

Great to hear that everything is oke with you.

I don`t understand your last question very well( has nothing do to with you Geoff, but everything with my bad english  )

Would you know if you must proceed taking the protocol?
Youre doing very great so maybe we can reduce some of the amounts.

And added some others, see article below,

VALVULAR DISEASE

Heart valves are control devices that route blood in a forward motion around the circulatory system with each beat of the heart and prevent its backflow. The heart valves can be damaged by inherited defects, infection, rheumatic fever, injuries, tumors, or calcification. The deterioration of certain valves such as the mitral, tricuspid, and aortic pose a more serious health concern than others. Treatment will depend upon the valve involved and the seriousness of the condition. Surgery may be required to repair leaks, inflate narrowed valves (stenosis), or replace faulty valves. Acute aortic regurgitation can result in critically low cardiac output and is a medical emergency.

Drugs to treat valvular disease relieve symptoms and prevent complications rather than provide a cure. Often prescribed medications include beta-blockers for palpitations and chest pain, digitalis to slow the heartbeat, diuretics to prevent salt and water retention, and ACE inhibitors to lower blood pressure and help ease the workload of the heart. In addition, certain herbs and supplements contain similar properties that may be of benefit to people with valvular disorders.

Angelica, 15 to 30 drop, 1 to 3 times a day.
Bromelain, 500 to 1000 mg between meals.
CoQ10, 100 to 400 mg a day in divided doses throughout the day. (Higher doses require a physician’s supervision.)
Garlic, 1 to 2 1000-mg Kyolic caplets twice daily with meals, or 2 to 8 900-mg Pure-Gar capsules daily with meals.
Ginkgo biloba, 120 to 240 mg daily.
Ginger extract, 1-2 300-mg capsules 1 to 3 times daily.
Grape seed-skin extract (proanthocyanidins), 1 to 2 100-mg capsules daily.
Green tea extract (decaffeinated), 600 to 1200 mg daily.
Hawthorn, 250 to 900 mg daily.
Magnesium, 500 to 1500 mg a day bound to gluconate, oxide, citrate, aspartate, glycinate, taurinate, arginate, or ascorbate.
Olive leaf extract, 1 to 2 500-mg capsules 3 times daily with meals.
Taurine, 1500 to 4000 mg daily.
Vitamin C, 6 grams daily in divided doses. (If loose stools occur, reduce dosage to a nonproblematic level.)
Vitamin E, 400-1200 IU a day in divided doses.

Another Cardiomyopathy Success story

Willy and Corrij

I wish to update you on my progress. And, what a surprise it has been. It has been 2 years since I was diagnosed with dilated cardiomyopathy. I had a dilated left ventricle and an ejection fraction of 40.

I immediately sought out this site, and have been taking the recommended supplements daily:

Acetyl-L-Carnitine
Magnesium
Vitamin C
Taurine
Alpha Lipoic Acid
Vitamin E
Chromium
Daily Vitamin
Arg/Orth.

Yesterday I had a follow up with my cardiologist, and my heart is NORMAL (other than some aortic insufficiency). The Cardiomyopathy is completely GONE!!

Thank you SO MUCH!!!!

Is there a follow on protocol which I should be taking? Should I reduce the amounts of the above listed supplements?

Thank you for all you have done,

Warm regards,

Geoff

Hello Geoff,

WOW congratulations :D
This is very great news, well done!

The first thing I want to say is that you never stop taking the supplements, otherwise your cardiomyopathy will come back.

But you can reduce the amount,

1 x 100 mg Q 10
2 x 500 mg Taurine
2 x 500 mg Carnitine
1 x 200 mcg chromium
1 x 200 mg Alpha-lipioc acid
1 x 400 IE vitamin E
3 x 1000 mg Vitamin C
1 x multi

You can skip the arginie/ornithine

Listen to your body! And please keep in touch :D

warm regards,
Corrij

Ask your cardiologist to diagnose your EJF in 2009 again, for instance after 9 months or so. This will give you an advanged notice if something does not work out.
